gently, i hold this injured heart
raw and tattered, still beating and beating
years of tears pump through arteries and veins
recycled as if scarce.
maybe it’s in knowing the release of crying will bring healing,
like a crashed wave pulling back into the ocean, dragging down the shore, resetting the environment to its natural state.
An injured heart becomes a circulating ecology. Tears move through the body like a limited resource, while crying becomes a tidal action: release that carries something away and reshapes what remains.

Visitors were invited to offer fifteen seconds of stillness or movement. Their gestures were translated into points and retained within an accumulating communal field. Each body departed, while its spatial trace remained among those of others.
How can a gesture remain
after its body has left?
